Another fantastic tour for an AS Monaco youth team!

After a quality trip by AS Monaco U18 on the weekend of 6 & 7 August, organised by Orange Veins, AS Monaco U21 also went on a trip to the Netherlands. With 2 friendly matches in 48 hours against AZ Alkmaar U21 & AJAX Amsterdam U21, this ‘quick’ trip was pure quality.

After their arrival on Monday morning 29 August, AS Monaco went straight to their hotel in Amsterdam. A light training session followed after lunch in preparation for the next day’s match against AZ Alkmaar U21.

On Tuesday 30 August, the match between AZ Alkmaar U21 vs AS Monaco U21 ended in a 4-2 victory for the Dutch team. After the match, AS Monaco returned to the hotel to prepare for tomorrow’s match against AJAX Amsterdam at complex De Toekomst.

Wednesday, August 31, AS Monaco U21 headed to AJAX Amsterdam’s training complex after an early check-out. After a warm welcome, the match between AJAX U21 vs AS Monaco U21 took place. The final result was a win for AJAX Amsterdam after AS Monaco were beaten 3-2. This match was full of fantastic goals.

Just after the match, AS Monaco headed to Schiphol airport to return to France.

All in all, it was a great learning experience for our French friends and we are already planning some new development trips for the coming months.
