Tour Overview

Southampton FC travelled with their U13’s to the Netherlands and to Belgium. This trip was organized by Orange Veins.

The U13’s of Southampton travelled to Brussels, they arrived at the 7th of June. The 8th of June it was time for their first friendly, they played against OH Leuven. It was an intense match that ended in a 8-3 loss for Southampton FC. After the match they had lunch and did a stadium tour at OH Leuven.

The 9th of June, it was time for a triangular with Fortuna Sittard and MVV Maastricht. They lost 2-4 to MVV Maastricht but they managed to get a 1-3 win against Fortuna Sittard. After the triangular, they had lunch and then went back home.

All in all, Southampton FC had a top trip with their U13’s. Their coach, Craig Waters, even said the following:

The weekend was very well organized from start to finish which really supported myself and the other staff which in turn meant we could give the lads the best opportunity to showcase themselves as a group both on and off pitch. Nick was fantastic and supported us fantastically at every stage. The hotel was excellent, food perfect for our needs and the ability to use meeting/games rooms were a real plus.
