Supra Academy U11, Netherlands Tournament & Tour 29 May – 5 June 2023

In May and June 2023, the young and talented players of Supra U11 went on an amazing eight-day trip to the Netherlands. Their main purpose was to take part in the Rotterdam Orange Veins U11 Cup. It was an unforgettable experience for the team, and they made their mark in Dutch football.

During their trip, Supra U11 played several exciting matches against strong opponents like Feyenoord, Excelsior, Eastside FC and St. Josephs Boys. Each game was a challenge, but the team stayed focused and played with great enthusiasm. Their teamwork and dedication impressed both the audience and other teams.

In addition to the games played, the Supra players also trained. While their own coach was in front of the group more often, the players also enjoyed guest training by none other than former professional footballer and assistant coach of the Surinamese national team Ryan Koolwijk.

When they weren’t playing soccer, Supra U11 had the chance to explore the Dutch culture. They enjoyed being around the beautiful streets of Rotterdam and Amsterdam, admiring the unique buildings, and tasting delicious local food. They also visited famous landmarks like the stadium of Ajax Amsterdam and the Markthal, which added to their amazing experience.

The Rotterdam Orange Veins U11 Cup was a highly competitive event, with teams from all over the world participating. Supra U11 was determined to show their skills and compete at an international level. They had been training hard and were excited to show their teamwork and talent to Europe.

As they returned home, Supra U11 carried wonderful memories, new friendships, and valuable experiences from their trip. The journey in the Netherlands not only improved their football skills but also taught them about teamwork, perseverance, and good sportsmanship.

Supra U11’s adventure in the Netherlands was a true testament to their hard work and determination.
