The Netherlands U18, Dubai, UAE, Football Federations Cup U18 20 – 29 March 2023

The Netherlands Under-18 football team recently went on an exciting trip to Dubai. They spent 10 days there and took part in the Football Federations Cup in March 2023. It was a great opportunity for them to showcase their skills and compete against teams from Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Dutch team played several matches during the tournament. They faced tough opponents like Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. It was a challenging experience for the young players, as they had to give their best on the field. They showed great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the games.

Apart from the football matches, the Netherlands U18 team also had the chance to enjoy some side activities in Dubai. They got to explore the city and experience its vibrant culture. Dubai is known for its impressive architecture, luxurious hotels, and beautiful beaches. The players had the opportunity to visit famous landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and the Palm Jumeirah, an artificial island shaped like a palm tree. Besides that The Netherlands had the chance to have a Q&A with Patrice Evra (former player of Manchester United, Juventus and the French National team, among others).

During their free time, the team bonded and had fun together. They took part in team-building activities and enjoyed the local cuisine. Dubai is famous for its diverse food scene, offering a wide range of delicious dishes from various cultures. The players got to try traditional Emirati cuisine as well as international flavors.
