China is not particularly known for its football talent. However, in recent years Chinese football clubs have managed to attract a lot of foreign football talents. For example Paulinho, Oscar, Hulk, Fellaini and Pato.
By attracting foreign talent the Chinese aim to improve both their football structure and player development The Chinese’s ambition to develop their football is as big as their country!
In the Chinese Football Association Super League, the highest football division in China, 16 teams compete for the cup. For example Beijing Sinobo Guoan, Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao, Shanghai Shenhua and Henan Jianye.
Out of all Chinese clubs, Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao definitely has the most impressive youth academy. Their facilities include no less than 50 football pitches and they’ve contracted numerous European youth coaches.
